Before You Fly

We want to ensure that your flight is as safe, comfortable and fun as possible! With that in mind, here are guidelines to help you prepare for your flight.

Instructors do their best to accommodate everyone. Please let your instructor know if you have any type of injury, illness, disability or any other

condition that requires special or extra attention. Be sure to also inform your instructor if you need to bring any medical equipment. If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call or text at 1-650-735-2FLY (2359).

If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend bringing medication like bonine, antivert or dramamine.

What To Bring

  • Boots or sturdy walking shoes: There will be some walking prior to the flight. For your flight, boots or shoes with ankle protection are preferred. Open-toed shoes or flats are not to be worn.
  • Water: You may have to wait for good conditions or for your friends to fly first.
  • **Warm Clothes**: We cannot emphasize this point enough. If it’s t-shirt weather on the ground, it’s jacket weather in the sky. It’s not uncommon for us to be wearing several layers, even in the summer. Layers are your friend.
  • Light gloves (optional).

Our Flying Locations

Our flying sites are located throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, primarily in Solano County and San Mateo County (near San Francisco). Sites are chosen based on the weather on any given day. Once you submit your deposit and desired flight date, we will contact you to arrange a meet-up point

San Mateo County

Flights in San Mateo County operate about 10 minutes south of San Francisco. These flights offer breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay and local landmarks, and are a quick car ride away from shopping and dining establishments owned and operated by friendly locals.

Solano County

Flights in Solano County offer incredible views of the San Francisco East Bay. On clear days, local landmarks like the San Francisco Bay, Carquinez, Benicia-Martinez and Golden Gate Bridges can be seen from miles away along with several bodies of water including the San Francisco Bay, San Pablo Bay and the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta. Plenty of shopping and dining establishments — franchise and locally-owned — surround the flying sites for before and after your experience.
